After weeks of rain, a brilliant sunny day. At a muddy Ynyshir, star birds were a pair of goldeneyes, red breasted mergansers, kestrel and a female hen harrier. I met a chap in a hide who was difficult to understand. I thought that he said do you get any goosanders, to which I replied 'No, just mergansers, you get goosanders more on lakes and rivers', to which he said 'No, I wanted to know where to get a sandwich'.
Later, I got the car stuck on pebbles at Ynyslas Turn.
